Fees

Our fee structure is in line with the recommendations from Speech Pathology Australia, the Australian professional body for speech pathology. Please contact Sally Armstrong on 0488 393 277 for a current fee schedule and to discuss what funding options may be available to support your access to speech pathology services.

Armstrong Speech is registered to provide therapy with Medicare, DVA, TAC Worksafe and private health insurance. 

 
 

 

REBATES

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURERS

Please speak with your private health insurance company to determine your eligibility for rebates

CHRONIC CARE PLAN/ENHANCED
PRIMARY CARE PLAN (EPC)

Clients who have a chronic condition and complex care needs that are being managed by their GP under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan may be eligible for up to 5 partly subsidised speech pathology services within a calendar year. A chronic condition is one that has been present for six months or longer. Clients have complex care needs if they need ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team consisting of their GP and at least two other health care providers, one of which may be a speech pathologist.

The current rebate is $52.95. (February 2015). Up to date information about the rebate can be found on here.

Upon payment of the fee the speech pathologist provides the client with a receipt. The rebate will be paid when this receipt is presented to Medicare.

BETTER START INITIATIVE

The Better Start for Children with a Disability Initiative provides funding for early intervention service. Further information regarding eligibility and accessing this funding can be found here.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)

The National Disability Insurance Scheme provides support for anyone with a disability who meets the access requirements. Speech pathology services may be accessed vis the NDIS. For further information visit this link.

HELPING CHILDREN WITH AUTISM PACKAGE (HCWA)

The Helping Children with Autism Package (HCWA) provides support for children aged 0-6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their families and carers. For further information with regards to eligibitiy for HCWA funding see below.

HELPING CHILDREN WITH AUTISM TO TREATMENT

Under the Helping Children with Autism Access to Treatment program, a child can be referred by a consultant Paediatrician or Psychiatrist for up to 4 diagnostic/assessment services to assist the referring practitioner with diagnosis or to contribute to a child’s treatment and management plan (for a child under 13 years of age), and up to 20 treatment services from a speech pathologist (for a child under 15 years of age, providing a treatment and management plan is in place before their 13th birthday).

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is required on the day of your session. Payments can be made either with cash, debit or credit card. A receipt of payment will be forwarded to you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

24 hours is required for all cancellations. A fee will apply for same day cancellations outside reasonable circumstances.
