INITIAL ASSESSMENT

At the initial appointment we will assess each client and establish the need for and goals of intervention.   An initial assessment takes between 45-60 minutes. The fee includes written correspondence with medical practitioners, analysis of assessment findings and therapy planning.

FORMAL STANDARDISED ASSESSMENTS

Formal assessments (language, literacy and/or pragmatic assessments) required for diagnostic/funding purposes require more time for the administration of the assessment (usually 1.5-2 hours) time for analysis and interpretation of child’s performance, and feedback to parents/carers/school/pre-school staff

THERAPY SESSIONS

Length of sessions offered depends on individual client needs.  Individual sessions offered are as follows:

30 min sessions (most young children require only 30 minutes for a speech therapy session)
45 min sessions (recommended for older children, teenagers and all adult speech therapy sessions)

Session times include therapy, time for discussion regarding progress and planning, and for administration.
